Softball Game Preview: Scott Highlanders vs. Union County Patriots

Scott is 0-4 against Union County since April of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The Highlanders will take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Scott is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Oneida.

Meanwhile, Union County didn't have quite enough to beat Anderson County on Monday and fell 3-2.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Union County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10.

Scott might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from Union County in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
