Softball Recap: Stagg Comes Up Short

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 21-0 to the Andrew Thunderbolts. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunderbolts from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Stagg's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Andrew, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stagg is set to square off against their familiar foe Bradley-Bourbonnais at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Andrew will take on rival Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunderbolts 3.4, the Griffins 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
