Recap: Elkmont Red Devils vs. West Limestone Wildcats
The Elkmont Red Devils were the 45-29 winner over the West Limestone Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Elkmont fell just short of West Limestone by a score of 40-38.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mckenzie Doner, who scored 10 points along with 9 steals. Doner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Darby Davis was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Elkmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for West Limestone, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Elkmont will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lauderdale County at 4:30 p.m. As for West Limestone, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (St. John Paul II is ranked 243rd, while West Limestone is ranked 242nd).
