Basketball Game Preview: Mather Rangers vs. Prosser Falcons

The Mather Rangers are taking a road trip to challenge the Prosser Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mather is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.

Mather easily dispatched Roosevelt on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Mather fell just short of Senn by a score of 49-46 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rangers have suffered since February 2nd.

Mather might have lost, but man, Adin Smajlovic was a machine: he went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points along with seven boards and five assists. Smajlovic's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Chalwe, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Prosser didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Steinmetz College Prep on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory.

Prosser's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mather, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
