Volleyball Recap: Riverheads Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Riverheads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Staunton Storm, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-16.

Abigail Bennington paced Riverheads' offense, picking up seven kills. Bennington got some help from Chesney Dunlap and her ten assists. Hattie Croft and Emily Herndon kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Staunton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Riverheads didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Buffalo Gap on the 14th. As for Staunton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Fort Defiance on the 14th.
