Baseball Recap: Mountain View Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mountain View unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Basha Bears on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Toros of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Tadon Mcknight was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Arrington, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Brophy College Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Basha, they will challenge Desert Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
