Basketball Game Preview: Arvada Bulldogs vs. The Pinnacle Timberwolves

The Arvada Bulldogs will challenge The Pinnacle Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with 12 losses in a row dating back to last season, Arvada turned things around against Lake County on Monday. They managed a 67-63 win over the Panthers. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

While The Pinnacle didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Valley 76-46. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 24 points or more this season.

The Pinnacle's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Arvada, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Arvada won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January of 2024, slipping by The Pinnacle 61-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arvada since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
