Baseball Game Preview: Tecumseh Savages vs. Seminole Chieftains

For the second straight game, Tecumseh will face off against Seminole. The Savages are taking a road trip to challenge the Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tecumseh's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Seminole. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Savages.

Not much got past Elias Hasler, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Seminole off the board. Hasler also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tecumseh is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Caleb Sparks was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Tecumseh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-10 when he doesn't). Kadyn Prado was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Tecumseh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seminole struck out 13 times.

Seminole is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for Tecumseh, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-10.
