Soccer Recap: Ashley Wins Going Away Against Hillside

Ashley kept a clean sheet against Hillside on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for Ashley, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Hillside with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dominic Segers, Jacob Macias, Oscar Garcia Buelto, and Cameron Berry.

Ashley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six games. As for Hillside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashley will welcome Cape Fear Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillside, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Research Triangle at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
