Catoctin got themselves on the board against Brunswick on Tuesday, but Brunswick never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp 18-0 win. The game marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Taylor Smith was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bralyn West, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Madison Ott was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Catoctin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
