Volleyball Game Preview: Argyle Scots vs. Fort Edward Flying Forts + How To Watch

Argyle is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Fort Edward is on a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Scots will welcome the Flying Forts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Wednesday, Argyle made easy work of Granville and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Argyle won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-10, 25-19.

Argyle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyleigh Dennis out in front who had ten aces and one assist. Those ten aces gave Dennis a new career-high. Brooke Austin was another key player, getting six aces and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Argyle was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Edward got the win against Corinth on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Argyle better focus on containing Elizabeth Brown and MacKenzie Keeley as the pair were huge in Fort Edward's win. Brown had seven digs and four aces, while Keeley had six digs.

Fort Edward's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Argyle, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Argyle has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 16.9 aces per game.
