Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Miller School of Albemarle

Miller School of Albemarle had won three straight games and Ryan Crotty did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks walked away with a 50-43 win over the GRACE Christian Eagles thanks in part to Crotty, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 36 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why GRACE Christian lost, don't look at Michael Phillips II. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 20 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Tate, who posted no points along with six assists and five steals.

The victory got Miller School of Albemarle back to even at 9-9. As for GRACE Christian, they moved to 12-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Miller School of Albemarle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-65 loss against Davidson Day on the 20th. GRACE Christian has also already played their next contest, a 67-36 defeat against St. John's on the 20th.
