Baseball Recap: Lake Gibson Comes Up Short

Lake Gibson fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Lake Region on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 10-9. The Braves have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Dalton Cone was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Lake Gibson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Lake Region, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Lake Gibson will be playing at home against Davenport at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Region, they have already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Community School of Naples on the 4th.
