Football Game Recap: Waverly vs. Holt

Holt were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Waverly 42-19.

It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Holt offense picked up 14 points in the second quarter. Waverly countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 14-7 going into the half. Holt put the game away in the third quarter with 21 points from the offense and six points allowed from the defense. The victory bumped their record up to 3-4. The loss dropped Waverly's record to 1-6.

Holt will be playing at home against Okemos at at 7:00 PM next week. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Holt and Okemos will really light up the scoreboard. As for Waverly, they will face off against East Lansing.
