Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Watsonville Wildcatz, falling 3-0.

St. Francis took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-9, 25-20.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Watsonville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will head out to take on Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Watsonville, they will face off against Pajaro Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pajaro Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Watsonville surely won't give up without a fight.
