Basketball Game Preview: Northside Eagles vs. Lee County Trojans

Northside and Lee County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Northside Eagles will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lee County Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Northside will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Houston County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Northside came out on top against Houston County by a score of 45-35 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lee County posted their biggest victory since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Panther Creek to the tune of 50-20. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 89th in Georgia, while the Catamounts are ranked 230th in North Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northside now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lee County, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Northside beat Lee County 38-31 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Northside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lee County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
