The Highland Park Hornets made easy work of the Follett Panthers  on Tuesday and carried off  a  15-2 victory. That looming  15-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hornets yet this  season.
 Kaitlin Lucas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Lucas was even better at the plate,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Ashlyn Jones looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 Back at the plate, Highland Park got a  massive  performance out of  Roxanne Shields, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  four  RBI gave  Shields a new career-high.  J'Niyah Hearn was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
The  win made it two in a row for Highland Park and  bumps their season record up to 5-12-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Follett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Looking ahead, Highland Park will square off against Sunray at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Sunray has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25  runs per game on average), something Highland Park will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Follett, they will be playing at home against West Texas  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
