Soccer Game Preview: Jonesboro vs. Griffin

The Jonesboro Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Griffin Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Griffin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Jonesboro, who comes in off a win.

Jonesboro was handed a seven-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Harris County 2-1.

Meanwhile, Griffin's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Central by a score of 2-1.

Jonesboro's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Griffin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Jonesboro couldn't quite get it done against Griffin in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
