Soccer Game Preview: Staley vs. Raymore-Peculiar

The Staley Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Staley's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Staley faced off against Liberty North on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Staley haven't had much luck with Liberty North recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Raymore-Peculiar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Lee's Summit West. That's two games in a row now that Raymore-Peculiar have lost by exactly five goals.

Raymore-Peculiar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Staley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Staley skirted past Raymore-Peculiar 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
