Preview: Chilhowee Indians vs. Sheldon Panthers
Chilhowee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Sheldon Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Chilhowee suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 last Thursday. They were outmatched by Otterville at home and fell 81-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chilhowee in their matchups with Otterville: they've now lost three in a row.
Sheldon posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bronaugh as Sheldon made off with a 61-40 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sheldon.
Chilhowee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Sheldon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Chilhowee was dealt a bruising 68-35 defeat at the hands of Sheldon in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Chilhowee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
