Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Pinecrest was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Purnell Swett on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Southwestern Randolph Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-13.

Emily Regtuyt paced Pinecrest's offense, picking up nine kills. Regtuyt got some help from Kenlee Agrell and her eight assists.

Pinecrest now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Southwestern Randolph, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest will welcome Gray's Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will take on West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
