Softball Preview: Monomoy Sharks vs. Falmouth Clippers
The Monomoy Sharks will face off against the Falmouth Clippers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Monomoy barely beat Mashpee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sharks put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 28-1 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.
Alana Lojko was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Lojko was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
