Baseball Game Preview: Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers vs. Calhoun Warriors

The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers will take on the Calhoun Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Greenfield/Northwestern's last matchup with Pawnee could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Tigers lost 10-0 to the Indians. The Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Calhoun got the win against North Greene on Monday by a conclusive 9-2. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Drew Wallendorf was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton Wallendorf, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Greenfield/Northwestern couldn't quite get it done against Calhoun in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
