Janelle Simpson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
