Mountain View won against Payson last Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bruins walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Lions. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 10-1 victory last Monday.

Mountain View got a great performance from Johnny Perkins as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up six earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Perkins has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mountain View let Kiesel Wilson and Jack Akin run wild. Wilson scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Akin scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Dirk Ford was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Mountain View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Payson, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.
