Basketball Recap: Mohonasen Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mohonasen can now relate to. They lost 60-38 to the Queensbury Spartans on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Shea Canavan was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double with 31 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals for Queensbury. Canavan's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Zehr, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Mohonasen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Queensbury, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Mohonasen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Queensbury, they will head out on the road to take on Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
