Basketball Game Preview: Bronx United Pythons vs. Bathgate Bulldogs

Bronx United hasn't had much luck against Bathgate recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bronx United Pythons will face off against the Bathgate Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m.

Bronx United is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt an 89-34 loss at the hands of Hamer. While losing is never fun, the Pythons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while Hamer are ranked 54th).

Meanwhile, Bathgate had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 72-63 win over the Eagles.

Bathgate pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Bronx United, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Bronx United was dealt a bruising 72-38 loss at the hands of Bathgate in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Bronx United avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
