Volleyball Recap: Woodlan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Woodlan waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Woodlan walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-13, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was McKenna Smith, who had six digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Fort Wayne Snider's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tiffany Borton, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Lindsay Gonzalez, who had 13 assists.

Woodlan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fort Wayne Snider, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Woodlan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Eastside on the 26th. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against South Bend Adams on the 23rd.
