Basketball Recap: Clark County Takes a Loss

Clark County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hamilton Cardinals, falling 64-34. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 429th in Missouri, while the Cardinals are ranked 138th in Illinois).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadyn Climer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Climer has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Grothaus, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points.

Clark County's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hamilton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Clark County will be playing at home against Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Moline at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
