Basketball Game Preview: Pineview Christian Warriors vs. First Assembly Christian Lions

The Pineview Christian Warriors and the First Assembly Christian Lions will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Pineview Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Monday, Pineview Christian came up short against Evangel Christian and fell 62-55. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, First Assembly Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 73-66 to Brooklane Baptist.

Pineview Christian will have to keep a close watch on Garrison Williams and Bryce Sasser, a pair of players who had a big impact on First Assembly Christian's prior game. Williams dropped a double-double on 27 points and 20 rebounds, while Sasser went 11 of 22 on his way to 29 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, First Assembly Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

First Assembly Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pineview Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Pineview Christian strolled past First Assembly Christian in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 46-28. Will Pineview Christian repeat their success, or does First Assembly Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
