Volleyball Recap: Hanson's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Hanson played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against the Parker/Marion Pheasants by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Pheasants back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 11-25, 25-18.

Defeat or not, Parker/Marion got some senior leadership from Braelyn Berens and Mara Mohr. Berens had 23 digs and two aces, while Mohr had 17 digs and nine assists. Berens has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Hanson moved to 6-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Parker/Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hanson will head out to square off against Menno at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parker/Marion, they will take on Irene/Wakonda at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
