They walked away with a 56-44 victory over the Excel Academy Charter Wolves on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Excel Academy Charter lost, don't look at Angel Figueroa. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. That was a full 40.9% of Excel Academy Charter's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Beck, who earned eight points.

Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Excel Academy Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 85-46 loss against Amesbury on the 28th. Excel Academy Charter has also already played their next contest, a 73-54 defeat against Community Charter School of Cambridge on the 30th.
