            Baseball Recap: Harrisonville Wildcats vs. Nevada Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Harrisonville took a seven-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Nevada, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Tigers  9-7. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Tigers  back in April, they had to take a  11-4  loss.

 Levi Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Hall was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. He has become a key player for Harrisonville: the team is 6-3 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 8-9 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Michael Garrie and  Ben Mahurin did most of the damage at the plate:  Garrie  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Mahurin  went 1-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Garrie has posted since back in April.
 Harrisonville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in five consecutive  games.
Harrisonville is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Nevada,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 13-8 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisonville will head out to  take on Warrensburg  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they will venture away from home to  square off against Fort Scott  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Fort Scott will roll in looking for their  15th straight  win, something Nevada surely won't give up without a fight.
