Softball Recap: Maranatha Christian's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Maranatha Christian came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Orange Glen Patriots as they made off with a 16-6 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Maranatha Christian got a massive performance out of Kennedy Arango, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Arango a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Morales, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Maranatha Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Maranatha Christian's record now sits at 8-6. As for Orange Glen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Maranatha Christian will face off against Foothills Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Glen, they will challenge Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
