Soccer Game Preview: Franklin-Simpson vs. Bowling Green

Franklin-Simpson hasn't had much luck against Bowling Green recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will square off against the Purples at 7:00 p.m. Franklin-Simpson has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Franklin-Simpson lost 8-3 to Warren Central on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Franklin-Simpson were already down 4-1.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green faced Owensboro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Purples narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Red Devils 1-0. Bowling Green haven't had any issues with Owensboro recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Bowling Green's win bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Franklin-Simpson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-2.

Franklin-Simpson might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Bowling Green in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
