Basketball Game Preview: Unity Reed Lions vs. Freedom Eagles + How To Watch

The Unity Reed Lions and the Freedom Eagles will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Unity Reed and three for Freedom.

Unity Reed had taken Osbourn Park down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Lions fell 56-44 to the Yellowjackets.

Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against Gar-Field on Friday and fell 80-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (68), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Unity Reed, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Unity Reed was able to grind out a solid victory over Freedom when the teams last played back in December of 2017, winning 80-68. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
