Soccer Game Preview: Carson vs. Gardena

The Carson Colts will face off against the Gardena Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Carson barely beat Narbonne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts blew past the Gauchos 4-1 on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Carson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Narbonne are ranked 1047th).

Carson hit Narbonne with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hector Paz, Ayden Rodriguez, Ethan Torres, and Marco Cruz.

Meanwhile, Gardena had just enough and edged out Rancho Dominguez 3-2 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Gardena in their matchups with Rancho Dominguez: they've now won three in a row.

Gardena's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-3.

Carson beat Gardena 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2025. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
