Baseball Recap: La Monte Takes a Loss

After flying high against Smithton on Monday, La Monte came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Cole Camp Blue Birds on Thursday, falling 13-3. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Birds earlier this season, when they won 9-6.

La Monte has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Cole Camp, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13.

La Monte has already played their next match (against Kingsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cole Camp, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 victory against Green Ridge on the 1st.
