Baseball Game Preview: Central Linn Cobras vs. East Linn Christian Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Central Linn will face off against East Linn Christian Academy. The Cobras will face off against the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Central Linn not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024 (when they won 10-0). They put the hurt on East Linn Christian Academy with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cobras as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Beau Snyder tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trevon Nofziger, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has become a key player for Central Linn: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. Daine Offutt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Central Linn's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for East Linn Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.
