Fulton had already won 19 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 20 on Friday. They came out on top against the Vestaburg Wolverines by a score of 8-5. Eight seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Bryson Sattler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other pitching news, Jared Akin looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Duflo, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Litwiller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Fulton pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Vestaburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14-1 record this season.

Fulton is taking a road trip to challenge Cadillac at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vestaburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
