Softball Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Florida Christian Patriots by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Packers have lost by just one run.

Largo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Meloy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Largo and nudges their season record down to 8-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Florida Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1.

Largo has already played their next game, a 12-11 win against Canterbury on the 3rd. As for Florida Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against West Nassau on the 4th.
