Commack strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Northport Tigers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-2 win back in April.
Maggie Schumacher was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Emanuel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Commack always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Commack pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Northport, they moved to 13-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
