Softball Recap: Grosse Ile Comes Up Short

Grosse Ile was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Anderson Titans. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Titans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Katie Antosiewicz was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double. Cece Wilcox was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Grosse Ile's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Anderson, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.

While Grosse Ile had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
