Hinsdale South and Glenbard West squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hinsdale South had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Hinsdale South's loss dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Glenbard West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 32-5.

Hinsdale South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenbard West, they will welcome Neuqua Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hilltoppers surely won't give up without a fight.
