Baseball Recap: Amboy Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Amboy's offense. They fell 3-0 to the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats on Saturday. The Clippers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for River Ridge/Scales Mound, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amboy will face off against Putnam County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Clippers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for River Ridge/Scales Mound, they will square off against Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
