Soccer Game Preview: St. Martinville vs. Cecilia

The St. Martinville Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Cecilia Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. St. Martinville won by a goal and slipped past Opelousas 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Cecilia sidestepped Opelousas for a 3-2 win. Cecilia haven't had any issues with Opelousas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

St. Martinville's win bumped their record up to 3-7-2. As for Cecilia, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.

St. Martinville might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Cecilia in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
