Basketball Recap: Mount Juliet Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gallatin last Friday, Mount Juliet came back down to earth. The Mount Juliet Golden Bears were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 52-51 to the Green Hill Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-39 back in January.

Green Hill found their leader in freshman Kataira Tolbert, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tolbert has scored all season. Willa Heilman was another key player, putting up nine points.

Mount Juliet's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Green Hill, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Mount Juliet has already played their next contest, a 43-36 win against Hendersonville on the 7th. As for Green Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-39 victory against Beech on the 7th.
