Basketball Recap: Valley Regional's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Hampton, Valley Regional was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the North Branford Thunderbirds by a score of 72-59. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 53-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rex Grabowski, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Grabowski is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Braden Evans, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists.

Valley Regional's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for North Branford, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Valley Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-24 victory against Westbrook on the 26th. As for North Branford, they will venture away from home to square off against East Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
