Baseball Recap: J.L. Mann Extends Winning Streak to Four

J.L. Mann had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes.

Teddy Garner tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, J.L. Mann's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Griffin King, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

J.L. Mann's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Dutch Fork, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.

As of now, neither J.L. Mann nor the Silver Foxes have any future games scheduled.
