Basketball Recap: Cox Takes a Loss

Cox lost against Landstown back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cox Falcons lost to the Landstown Eagles on the road by a 60-41 margin. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Landstown found their leader in sophomore Chase Johnson, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Johnson. Another player making a difference was Damien Robinson, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Cox's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Landstown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Cox and First Colonial will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Landstown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Landstown is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
